Biography
Jeffrey Padwa is a Rhode Island and Massachusetts licensed attorney and the legal backbone of ProSeLaw. As principal of Padwa Law LLC, Jeff brings decades of experience navigating the intersection of business, government, and law in Rhode Island and beyond.
Jeff's career spans both public service and private practice. He served as Providence City Solicitor under Mayor Angel Taveras, managing one of the busiest municipal law offices in New England. He then joined the Rhode Island General Treasurer's Office, where he served as Deputy Treasurer, Chief Legal Counsel, and ultimately Chief of Staff — successfully representing the Treasury in landmark pension reform litigation and overseeing state debt refinancing.
In the cannabis space, Jeff serves as Commissioner on the Cannabis Regulatory Commission of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, giving him rare regulatory expertise that informs every cannabis-related document on this platform.
Today, through Padwa Law LLC and ProSeLaw, Jeff is making attorney-reviewed legal documents accessible to Rhode Island and Massachusetts businesses and individuals who deserve professional-grade legal tools without the overhead of traditional legal fees.
