Getting Copies of Court Records
How to find and obtain records in your case or others.
Where to look
Most courts have an online docket search. Copies are available from the clerk, sometimes for a per-page fee. Certified copies cost more and are needed for some purposes.
Federal cases
Federal records are on PACER, which charges small per-page fees with caps; fee waivers are available in some situations.
