Text Message (SMS) Terms

Last updated October 30, 2026 · Pro Se Law Inc.

How ProSe Law uses text messages, and how to stop them at any time.

Program

ProSe Law, operated by Pro Se Law Inc., sends text messages to people who opt in, about their account and case file: account confirmations, deadline and task reminders, and updates you request.

Opting in

You opt in by entering your mobile number and checking the text-message consent box when you sign up or in your settings. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out and help

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive one confirmation and no further messages. Reply HELP for help, or email jpadwa@padwalaw.com.

Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. See our Privacy & Data Policy for details.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

ProSe Law

A system built to help you take on the system. File a case, defend one, or get your case file ready — organize everything in one place, use AI tools to build it out, then share one file with anyone you choose.

Important: ProSe Law is a legal-resource platform, not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice and we do not review documents. No attorney-client relationship is formed by using this site. Everything here is educational information to help you organize and prepare your own case file. Nothing here is guaranteed enforceable, and local court rules vary — always confirm requirements with your specific court.

Privilege and AI: information you put into an AI system may not be protected by attorney-client privilege. Privilege is not automatic just because you are handling your own case, and showing your case file to someone else can mean giving privilege up. Ask your attorney what you should and should not put here, and do not add anything you would not be willing to have read out in court.
