Privacy & Data Policy
Last updated October 30, 2026 · Pro Se Law Inc.
Pro Se Law Inc. built ProSe Law so you can organize and run your own case. Protecting your case data is the point: it is yours, it stays private, and we never sell or share it.
Your case file belongs to you
Everything you put into your case file — facts, timelines, parties, documents, evidence, notes and deadlines — is yours. We do not own it, and we do not claim any right to use it for anything other than running the service for you.
We never sell or share your case data
We do not sell your case data. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, attorneys, or anyone else. The only people who see your case file are you and the people you choose to share it with, using a share link you create, label, and can switch off at any time.
Who handles your data to run the service
Like every online service, we rely on a small number of providers to operate: secure cloud hosting and storage, the AI services that power the case tools, payment processing, and email and text-message delivery. They process your information only to provide those functions to us, under their own security and confidentiality obligations, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Access by our own staff is limited to what is needed to keep the service running, fix problems you report, or comply with the law.
What we collect
Account details (name, email, and phone number if you give it), the case information you enter, files you upload, payment records (card details are held by our payment processor, not by us), and basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and working.
Text messages and your phone number
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we use it only to send the messages you signed up for. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the providers that deliver the messages.
Phone calls are recorded
When you call our main line, you reach an AI assistant, not a person. We record the call and keep a written transcript of it, and we tell you so at the start of every call. If you would rather not be recorded, do not continue on the phone — everything the assistant does can also be done in your account at proselaw.org.
We keep recordings and transcripts to answer questions about what was said, to carry what you told us into your case file, and to improve the service. They are held under the same terms as the rest of your data: not sold, not shared with advertisers or data brokers, and seen by our staff only where needed to run the service or comply with the law.
The assistant can email a summary of your call to you, or to anyone you ask us to send it to, including your attorney. We only send to an address you give us on the call. Anything you ask us to send to someone else leaves our system, and sending case information to a third party can affect privilege.
AI and attorney-client privilege
ProSe Law is not a law firm. Information you put into an AI system may not be protected by attorney-client privilege, and sharing your case file with someone else can affect privilege. Ask your attorney what you should and should not store here.
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit, uploaded files are stored privately, and file links are signed and expire quickly. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting your case file is the core of what we do.
Your choices
You can view, edit, export, or delete your case files at any time. You can ask us to delete your account and its data by emailing jpadwa@padwalaw.com. We keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as payment records.
Legal requests
We disclose information only when legally required, such as a valid court order or subpoena, and where permitted we will tell you first.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how your case data is used, we will tell you in advance, and any new use of your case data will require your permission.
