Getting Started
Building a Case Timeline
How to turn scattered events into a clear chronology a judge can follow.
Why a timeline
Judges think in order of events. A one-page timeline lets them see your case in a minute.
How to build one
- List every event with a date: agreements, payments, messages, notices, incidents.
- Add the source for each, such as "text, 3/4" or "receipt #12."
- Cut anything that doesn't matter to what you're asking for.
- Keep each line to a sentence.
