Getting Started
Limited-Scope Representation
Hiring a lawyer for just part of your case.
What it is
Also called unbundled legal services: a lawyer handles specific tasks, such as reviewing documents, drafting a filing, coaching you for a hearing, or appearing once, while you handle the rest. Most states allow it under their professional conduct rules.
Why it helps
You pay for expertise where it matters most. An organized case file makes this cheaper because the lawyer spends less time getting up to speed.
