What to Bring to Court
A checklist for hearing day.
Checklist
- The court notice with your case number, time, and courtroom
- Photo ID
- Three copies of every document you'll show: one for the judge, one for the other side, one for you
- A one-page timeline of key dates
- A short list of points you want to make
- Witnesses, or their written statements if the court allows them
- Pen, notepad, and any phone evidence printed out
Arrive early
Security lines can be long. Check in with the clerk when you arrive.
