Common Case Types
Contract Disputes
The elements of a breach of contract claim and what evidence proves it.
What you must show
A breach of contract claim generally requires: a valid agreement, your own performance (or a good reason you didn't perform), the other side's failure to perform, and money damages that resulted.
Written and oral contracts
Many oral agreements are enforceable, but some, such as real estate sales and agreements that can't be completed within a year, usually must be in writing. Texts and emails can serve as evidence of an agreement.
Evidence
The contract or messages showing the deal, invoices, receipts, proof of payment, and a clear timeline of what each side did.
